OK, so the economy as we sit is already starting to move forward and return to its former state. What can we learn from here? It does not take a genius to learn that someone's recessions is another person's opportunity to get real bargains. It's a buyer's market we are still in right now. The buyers call the shots. You can take advantage of this fact especially if you are already in the planning/buying phase of your startup.

There are a number of things that you can have at a bargain price. I found this article from Entrepreneur.com that can tell suggest a couple of items that you can have at a great price. These are typically items that you should not get at retail because they are much more expensive that way. Some of them are:

• Office Space. This comes out of any list of things that you can buy. As the crisis crept its way to commercial real estate, we saw more and more offices and business close shop, leaving us with thousands of office spaces that are either closed or still waiting for new tenants. Just make sure that you understand the terms of your agreement. Get a lawyer if you have to.

• Office Furniture/Filing Systems. The best way to go with buying your office furniture is to search online for good and used furniture. Buying the at retail is not to your advantage because they regularly go in and out of style.

• Phones. The mark-up for retail phones is very high, so you might want to consider purchasing a slightly used system instead.

• Capital Equipment. Trucks, large stoves, or other heavy equipment are always possible to be taken at bargain prices, especially if they are purchased wholesale. Just make sure that there is demand in the business that you want to put up, because making money by reselling your capital equipment may not be seen in the near future.

• Advertising. This is also one area that has seen the worst of the crisis. Companies are busy repairing their own finances to even bother advertising, so if you're planning to get some ad space, now is the time for they come with rockbottom prices.
