Everyday, I spent considerable number of hours facing the computer. Chances of seeing me doing things not including computers is very slim. And for the hours I spent on the computer, most of it are spent browsing the internet and the remainder for playing online games.
If there's a website I'll consider my most visited, aside from my personal e-mail, it will be Wikipedia. The website is definitely my ultimate source of anything I wanna know. If there's a new term I encounter and felt the need to know it, I'll just use my pre-installed Google search box beside the address bar and more than 90% of the time, Wikipedia results will be on the top.
As a matter of fact, I find reading articles on Wikipedia a more entertaining activity than watching videos on YouTube or playing games at Newgrounds.
This morning I was trying to make a list of famous people named Gloria, but instead, I found myself reading about a single person, Gloria, Princess of Thurn and Taxis. I love reading about royalties so I got attracted to the article and clicked on every link related to her - her background, her controversial marriage, societal impression, her kids, and even her castle. I started around 8:30am and was surprised when I learned it was already lunchtime when I stopped reading about her family tree.
What makes Wikipedia fun to browse is probably its uncluttered setting which is very much a conducive environment to learn new things. The way a link is pinned to a keyword is also the key way to keeping readers browsing and reading for more.
Another reason why I love Wikipedia is that I can open their articles, save it and read them later when I'm on a travel and access to the internet is absent. A total mobile, walking encyclopedia.
