Have you ever seen the clear bowls with a plant on the top and a pretty fish underneath swimming around? Those are beta fish and this combination makes a very relaxing decoration for your office. The fish give you a peaceful feeling and there is not much maintenance involved.
The fish come in a variety of colors and so do the plants. And of course the water that supports the fish also supports the plant. They will keep the roots clean and algae free.
You must be careful with this type of bowl. betta fish are very tough and can survive and thrive in water conditions other fish would not but they do breathe on the surface when oxygen levels drop in the tank. The pot and roots of the plant must be fish safe and the roots hould not be allowed to cover all or even a large portion of the water surface
