MFGdirect.com is a new innovative online market place where businesses and individuals buy brand name products direct from manufacturers.

This website was developed to provide a conduit between manufacturers and consumers for the purpose of product availability from the experts and information exchange.

After several months of careful planning and preparation, MFGdirect.com was launched on March 22, 2007.

The name of the web site reinforces its purpose, MFGdirect.com, is all about providing direct access between manufacturers and consumers.

MFGdirect.com is a patent-pending business model and plays a unique role in addressing the current trends driven by Internet technology allowing consumers easier access to information on brand name products and now with MFGdirect.com; access to purchase those products directly from the manufacturers.

The goal is for MFGdirect.com to be a value-added online forum that benefits both manufacturers and consumers by providing brand name products at competitive prices, consumer access to information from the experts and information about the market place that can be used for effective business planning.

The most difficult part of this model is convincing manufacturers to allocate the resources to make minor operational changes to take advantage of this new distribution channel. MFGdirect.com is a pure Internet business model. Daily orders on MFGdirect.com are sent immediately to the respective manufacturers to be shipped directly to the customer. Regardless, there are more and more manufacturers being added regularly as the more tenured partners are now realizing MFGdirect.com to be an important component in their multi-channel distribution strategy.

The web site is a hit with consumers who are very quick to pick up on the low prices on brand names and the free shipping on all orders. MFGdirect.com is also gaining prevalence in search engine results as time goes on and the web site links to more and more manufacturing partners as well as other relevant resources.
