2010 Business Climate Predictions2009 has already ended and we're no entering a brand new year--no, make that a brand new decade in the course of human existence. And like every year that has passed, certain trends in different fields of endeavour come and go. Business is included here.~~ One of my favorite entrepreneurship websites, Entrepreneur.com, came out with a report on 15 predictions and trends that will emerge in the business community for 2010. Those who made the predictions were established businessmen who are behind the famous business website. Let's have a brief look at what our experts have to say. One recurring message that I got from those predictions is that businesses will be even more tech-savvy this coming 2010. With the array of tools that will help them promote their business--Facebook and Twitter, for example--it is already expected that small businesses may finally catch with them this year. In particular, low-tech corporations may actually see value in mobile marketing. Furthermore, with a lot of companies and corporations falling down and the labor market brimming with stellar candidates, 2010 is also said to be a critical year for startup companies--those that are willing to fill the gaps in the bruised market. Challenges lie ahead, however, primarily when it comes to cash flow. The difficulty of acquiring a bank loan will still linger, as the banks are still trying to recover from their own losses. 2009 was a year of lessons for everyone. In 2010, it is predicted that these lessons will already be reflected. Most obviously, some of our analysts also predict tax rates to go up significantly in the coming year. With stimulus programs and other bail-outs flying everywhere in the previous year, the government has to somehow make up for it--and taxes are the way to go. Overall, we can say that the national economy is already starting to recover from the mess it once put itself in. Reforms will be enacted, and surely, businesses will be affected. It's up to these businesses then to see opportunity in this and make the most out of it. For more 2010 business climate trends and predictions, please check this article. |
