10 Things you should have in your dorm or apartment

Living in a small space, whether an apartment or dorm, requires you to think about the amount of space your "stuff" takes up. There are many things you can do without, because there simply isn't any room to store them, and you will end up moving useless things from place to place.

Other items are "must haves" no matter how large or small your space, because if you suddenly need it, you have it...and it is likely that an item on this list will be needed by you this week, maybe even today. So get ready to check off your ready list:

1. Extension Cord (no explanation necessary)
2. Bungee Cord Clothesline (when you need something for tomorrow and don't have time for the laundry)
3. Safe for Valuables (hopefully one that doesn't look like a safe)
4. Small Tool Kit (for general repairs and stuff)
5. Over the Door Hooks (you can save lots of space by hanging a cork board on the back of the door with push pins to hold pictures, notes, lists even keys or maybe even hang your coat or sweater on the door)
6. Sewing Repair Kit (do you want to walk to class with no button on your pants and have them fall down just as you hit the doorway!?)
7. StikkiHooks (these are great for hanging utensils... since there aren't many drawers, keys, scissors, jewelry..you get the idea)
8. Lock (combination lock, key lock...whatever type you choose, but you never know when you need to secure something)
9. Reusable adhesives (you know like poster mounting tabs, adhesives to hang all kinds of things without incurring the loss of your deposit for rent by damaging walls with nails)
10. Toenail Clippers (again, no explanation necessary)

This is a small but very important list. I challenge you to think of ten more MUST HAVES. -
