We all love this time of year. First is Halloween, then Thanksgiving, and best of all Christmas! And don't forget New Year's too. Why not get our jobs involved with the holidays as well. I always decorate for the season. It gets me in the mood to do my holiday shopping and plan get togethers. This trick is to decorate just enough so it is not distracting to you at work.Going all out with streamers and lights and things hanging from the ceiling is probably too much for the office. I usually put out little figurines on my desk and set out a dish of candy appropriate for the season. I also love to hang some of my kids' holiday artwork that they make in school. It brings just enough home to the office without going overboard. I do think is important to be professional first and foremost, so use some discretion when decorating the office. Last year a woman on my block handed out little bags of candy in little favor bags tied with black and orange ribbon with a little origami pumpkin tied to each one. It must have taken her ages to complete all of those little bags. Time and money I know I don't have. She did give me a good idea though. My kids and I decided to decorate our windows with halloween origami. We did witches hats and black cats and pumpkins like my neighbor. The kids loved it and it was a fun activity for us to do together. I bought the paper online from an office supply company. So if you are running low on activities, this is a great one for adults and kids alike. Tags: halloween • origami • kids crafts • decorating • 0 Comments. - Permalink |
