Nostalgic Over Elmo ClipsI was in a conference a while back and during the break I browsed for some cool videos on YouTube and saw my favorite Sesame Street character, Elmo Along with Kermit, I consider them my childhood heroes. In the video, Elmo was rocking with the band Goo Goo Dolls, definitely one of my favorite musical group. It's really nice to see your favorite icons and figures collaborating and seems to be enjoying every minute of it.~~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAR5Vw9Bvts Seeing clips like this one, brings me back memories of my childhood. On weekend mornings, my mom would put a Sesame Street video collection on the VHS player for me to watch. She believed seeing child-oriented shows will make me somehow better than those kids watching violent movies. I don't know if that really reflected what I am now. XD I would also come to her office after school and while waiting for her work to be done, I watch Sesame Street on a cable channel. I had a school service back then and instead of my home being the drop-off point, the driver was instructed to take me to her office so we can get home together. Though after a few more years, we scraped the school bus service and so I had to commute my way to her office. Same goes for the home library. We had a small audio visual room in our old house and we had a couple of Sesame Street videos were in our young cousins can watch. Although I have not use it for many years now, I think they're still usable, I just have to convert them form VHS to DVD format. |
