United Business Solutions LLC is one of the fastest growing independent office equipment dealers in the Chicago marketplace. Dedicated to total customer satisfaction, our UBS consultants look beyond the hardware solutions to the people and processes that make up your organization. We utilize the latest tools and techniques to improve the document workflow of your business that directly improves your “bottom line”. Our UBS team approach includes UBS IT engineers, workflow consultants and technical liaisons working to uncover inefficiencies within the office. UBS provides a step-by-step technology implementation plan that maximizes your current technology investment while allowing flexibility for network and company growth.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

You have to have a site in this day of age

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We launched in the early 1990's.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Just used our company name and promoted that way.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are informative and offer a customer friendly interface.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To make an e-commerce site for customers to buy direct as well as in person.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The more time you put into anything, your better bet of success.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Sales Training, Marketing, etc...

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, we have the facilities and people to keep up.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Economy issues which usually don't affect our market.

What has been your biggest challenge?

A slow economy

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

business cards, networking sites

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It's been a learning process.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

For 10 or so years now. We'll keep it up as long as we're open for business.
