Just this past weekend I was helping my cousin move into the building he was going to use for his future business. Its just a small place in the business district of our town, but he was quite happy with it. So as a moving in present, I bought him a simple work station from the Office1000 Site to help him along the way. Turns out that's all he really would have needed. He never spends time in his office anyway. But I have to tell you, this little workstation was about the most convenient replacement for a full sized desk. It only took up about 2 square feet in the corner but that didn't take away from its effectiveness. Another great thing I saw was that it was on wheels. That was great for my cousin, for he could take it into the building's workshop without any problem. Almost thinking about buying one of these for myself... If you're one of those who often jumps from one place to another, your might want to be a member of Priority Pass which is a program that gives you access to clubs and lounges (with access to power, phones, internet etc.) worldwide in any airport for an annual fee. But if looking for free resources when your favorite electronic device is low on power you could simply look for these power stations near gates with multiple outlets where maintenance equipment are usually plugged in. Today, the idea seem to be too simple, but 40 years ago, it revolutionized the way office workers handle their tasks and how offices finished work. I am talking about the Action Office system--or now commonly called the office cubicle. The idea of creating an office cubicle is to give workers personal spaces where they will feel more in control. This in contrast with the then-conventional desk-and-table setup. Happy birthday, office cubicle.
