If you want your office environment to be effective, you must think of the harmonization of the plan for the employees.
Use cubicles intelligently to balance between employee isolation and excessive socialization. Cluster printers on stands near employees so you don't have too many printers (non ecological) but it isn't too inconvenient for employees.
