| Pros And Cons Of Having Your Desk By The WindowThis blog is going to be kind of point less. I guess that is why I am writing it. The reason I am posting the blog is because I was sitting at work, at my desk, and I started to day dream.~~ I catch myself doing this quite often actually. But today as I drifted off, I started to think about how much time I waste a day just looking out the window at work. So here are some good things, and some bad things about having your office desk by a window.
When it's a beautiful day outside everyone likes to be a part of that. Even if your stuck at work and can't be outside to enjoy it, it's still really nice to be able to see the sun shining on the beautiful scenery outside your window. If it gets hot in your office in the summer it is nice to have the window open to let a nice breeze go through. Another reason I really like having my desk in front of the huge window in my office is because it helps me get through work without thinking I'm cut off from the rest of the world. The reason I would feel that way is because it is the only window in my office. So having the daylight come through my windows helps me stay sane.
Having your desk by the window also has some bad qualities. The first one being the reason to why I am writing this blog. It can be a distraction at work. Sometimes I stare out the window and just drift away forgetting I have work to do. Another bad thing about it is that it gets cold when winter comes. While the rest of my office is warm, my area keeps a little cold because I'm right by the window.
So there are some pros and cons about having your desk right by the window at work. I'm sure if there are students reading this they will agree that some of these things are true about them at school. All things said, I still love sitting by the window. I love where my desk it and I love my work space. |
