Well all know that geeks love pocket protectors. If you see someone with a pocket protector you immediately think: "GEEK".

It isn't true. Any sensible person that likes to keep pens or pencils in their shirt pocket would use a pocket protector to keep their shirt free of stains or other damage from the writing instruments.
