I bought one of these idiotic Zip Notes machines and boy was I disappointed. The mechanism was broken and so when I put the batteries in, it whirred away and would not stop sending out paper. When I'd stopped that I tried sticking the paper to the wall and it fell off. The glue isn't very strong and frankly it isn't worth the £20 they charged for it. Bin it. It's not very fair to judge the product based on your receipt of a defective unit. Why wouldn't you return an item you purchased with a broken mechanism? Comment #3 Janet Nicol at 10/15/08 11:25
I did call their London office and spoke with an obnoxious woman who said they wouldn't refund me. I plan to report this company to the Office of Fair Trading. The paper isn't even sticky. It falls off the wall in a second. The glue is in the middle - really damn stupid. DO NOT BUY THIS SILLY PRODUCT. Comment #4 By Brad at 10/15/08 12:57
Sounds like you are just an old crank. Why not write them a letter clearly explaining your problem and that you'd like to exchange it for a working one. What about the place you bought it? What did they do for you? Who did you buy it from? Comment #5 Janet Nicol at 10/18/08 04:49
Brad: I bought it from THEM.Their instructions gives a number to call, which is their London office at 9 Royal Avenue in Chelsea, SW3 4QE. I even went round there after my conversation with the obnoxious woman as I live relatively nearby. I banged on the door - of what actually appears to be a fancy house rather than an office - and there was no answer. The porter of the block told me it was a house and not an office so not sure quite what is going on there either. Customer service is not a priority to the inventor of this idiotic item. The public should beware of it - don't waste £20 like I did.
