| Another Trick to Time ManagementTime and again, I've already heard of people tell me that there's just not much time in their hands and that they are already stressed with the volume of work that they had to deal with. Interestingly, I always hear these complaints when it's crunch time already--when deadlines of task accomplishments are just a few days away.~~ Admittedly, I can be one of these people at times. I tend to look at myself at some overworked person when, in fact, I could've done some of those things earlier on and be done on-time without much cramming. There's always enough time for all the things that we do. We just don't know how to prioritize our obligations and manage our time well. Much has already been said about this topic. Unfortunately, none of them have worked out for me and, probably, for you either. I've written voluminous amounts of lists already and tried to prioritize them according to my requirements. I once even bought an organizer. No use. Cram, cram, and cram some more. There are times when I am able to manage my time well, however, and it doesn't have anything to do with the usual things you read online, except for the making-lists part. Simply put, I just reward myself with goodies everytime I accomplish all of the tasks scheduled for the day. I'm a sucker for sweets and anything edible in general. Pigging out for a while after a long productive day shouldn't hurt, should it? Food is for me as to any reward is for you. You know what will motivate you. For others it is food. For others, it is a trip to the movies. For some others, it is a pair of new shoes. It varies from person to person. Reward yourself for your productivity and this might motivate you to do what you have to do. |
