Why Trash Can Liners Make Sense

By Bobby at 10/01/08 15:33

I work for a company that orders supplies for bigger companies. We take care of everything from chairs and tables for conference rooms to trashcans in breakrooms and bathrooms. One thing that it seems like people like to cut out when they are making last minute revisions to a purchase list is trash can liners. Well let me tell you why that is a mistake.

They are a great product because they prevent sticky trash from getting stuck in the bottom of the ACTUAL trash can. They are nice because they usually look like part of the can so it still gives a sleek, professional look. It also saves time that the busy janitorial staff do not have to scrub and scrape gum from the bottom of trash cans! So, actually they really have a greater purpose than you may think.

Yes, that makes a ton of sense! Why would they leave out the liners!?

Many good reasons.. which might include: being economical, being ecological (why throw out all that unnecessary plastic?). Just rince it would and go. If the waste is strictly paper you don't even need to wash it.

How crazy is it to carry home all your groceries in plastic bags... to put those plastic bags into another plastic bag to carry them out to the trash!

Too much plastic. I saw don't use trash can liners. Never ever.
