Like what was said in a previous post, your desk reflects your personality. And your bosses see this. Sure, you may be productive, but this will be not apparent until physical order is in order (pun intended).

Your bosses probably won't promote you even if you pass papers on time when they find out that you have a trash dump for a desk. So get up and clean that desk!
