officefurnitureblowout Interview

Name of your website?

officefurnitureblowout

Your name?

mark legones

Your Location (city, etc)

salt lake city

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We buy and Sell New and Used Office Furniture. We also Wholsesale our Imported Lins of New Office Furniutre, from Desks and chairs to cubcicles and files. We have a solution for every business.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

There are more online transactions now than then ever before and more and more people are looking to the internet to search for the best 'deal'. Selling Office Furniture online provides a solution for people trying to find 'deals' without the hassle of furniture salesmen.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We launched www.Officefurnitureblowout.com in 2002.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It fit the business that we fell into.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The name says it all "Office Furniture Blowout" save 50%-90%. We actually do save our customers that much through our strategic buying methods.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal today is to keep it for income. I have branded the name for 5 years now and my customer base has become quite large. I may as well provide for my customers what I have provided them with for the last 5 years.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Right now my investment of time and money is poor and on the cusp of changing dramatically. I think I could become more successful if I spent my time focusing on the things that add to my bottom line and working with the people who can help me get there.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would have to sign an NDA before I wrote that on a website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

We would control the manufacturing so we could manage the demand as needed.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Workman Comp, shipping costs/fuel, employees, micromanaging

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge is working by myself and staying focused/motivated. I think I work better when I am challenged and motivated by someone else. Cashflow is my bigger challenge though.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Google Ad Words

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is not as well maintained as I would like. I did not realize the time it takes to run a website properly.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I think I would keep it up indefinitely. I don't think it has broke the alexa 300,000 in top websites. It gets enough traffice to make it worth keeping and when it stops so will the website.

What do you need to make your website better?

Web Manager. Data entry. Daily Updates. Search Engine Submissions. Metatags.

What is your website address?
