At Your Service Interview

By Interviewer at 05/25/07 15:14

Name of your website?

At Your Service

Your name?

Mindy Flannery

Your Location (city, etc)

Richmond Hill

When did you start your website and why?

It sprang from necessity, but was molded from my skills and my passion for artists, musicians and to help other small businesses and local women, with their overburdened lives.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

Virtual Assistant company for your administrative, clerical and personal business needs. Reap the benefits of outsourcing and lose the liabilities of an employee. Outsource your site submission, research, contact/venue organization, email handling, appointment scheduling, reminder service and more. We are musician/artist friendly. We serve our clients in many capacities. One of the goals is to keep this business flexible since client needs are vastly different. Whenever possible, my staff consists of locals and/or stay at home moms, that have various strengths and skills.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Marketing and networking!

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The passion for this business has made it easy to stay motivated...even when there isn't immediate pay-off.

What was your biggest mistake?

Hmmm...I guess I would say underestimating the time it would take to be recognized.

Who maintains your website and why?

Me! I enjoy it and I like keeping control of it at the drop of a hat.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Definately lends a friendlier atmosphere for the clients. It also gives them more secuity.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

I truly think it will just continue to grow and morph with the coming generations and those who were born after it's invention.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Well, it's a little more hit and miss than it is made out to be. Sometimes it seems there is a little more hidden reasons for the true optimization.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

They have definately helped, but in a slower-than-I-would-like way!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I would say initially, the social networking web sites, like MySpace. After that it has been word of mouth and submitting my site to as many free places, such as yours.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

They all have had different benefits and drawbacks. I'm not certain I could say which was the least.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

The amount of scams! All the junk that clogs up the system and prays on innocent people.

What is your website address?
