Please give us a short summary of your website?
GLPrint designs, prints and sells exceptionally made business cards online to individuals, professionals and businesses who place a lot of value to product quality.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
GLPrint aspires to fill a void in the market and provide consumers with a reliable source of high quality business cards that they can conveniently order online.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
GLPrint was launched on April 2006.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The GLPrint brand name is trademark of the Group of Goldline, a company that operates from Ontario, Canada.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
GLPrint focuses on quality of the designs of our business cards more than anything else. An in-house team of professional graphic designers are constantly working to add more designs to our collection.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
The goal is to be able to establish the brand name GLPrint and make it synonymous to "the best business cards available anywhere".
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
GLPrint is just starting to actively promote our products over the Internet. Hopefully, with the right strategy in place, we will be able to make our mark in the market soon.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
With an unlimited budget, we will constantly tweak the website to provide the best possible customer experience when ordering our business cards. We will also expand and add on more designs to our business card collection to encompass every conceivable profession and niche market space.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
GLPrint is a big company with enough resources to devote to expansion if the case arises.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The initial Internet marketing is doing well. But that is not to say that we have not encountered bumps along the way. There are problems but these problems are not something that cannot be overcome.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Increasing our market share of the online business card market.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth. Our existing customer base is very satisfied with our product and service. So, naturally, they will be inclined to tell their colleagues and associates about our business cards.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The company has been running websites for many years now. That area of expertise is pretty much covered very well.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been up since 2006 and was started to be actively promoted only this year.
